About Australian Historic Motor Racing - www.historicracing.com.au

Worldwide Historic Motor Sport is becoming increasingly popular, particularly here in Australia. Historic Racing provides enthusiasts the chance to see a diverse range of cars from Pre War Grand Prix cars through to Australian Touring Cars of the late 1980’s and 90’s.

Any Historic race meeting across Australia provides a wonderful step back through the eras of the development of Motor Sport, and indeed, the Road Car as well.

This site has been developed by experienced Australian Historic Racing commentator Charles Rogers. The aim is to make our passion easily accessible to the wider community and to act as a central site across all of the states who enjoy preserving and promoting our passion.

What is unique to Australia are our Australian built specials. These cars were built both Pre War and immediately Post War to take on the overseas factory cars such as Bugatti and Maserati. Many Australian’s had much success in these cars – the Chamberlain 8 is a great example. Over time a dedicated section of the site will feature details on these cars, most of which are still racing at our meetings today!
